We have classes on a wide variety of gardening topics from landscaping and growing the best flowers / vegetables to bee keeping and water conservation.

Participating restaurants for provide a delicious heirloom tomato-themed dish to support our work to empower people of all ages and incomes to grow and eat healthy, organic, local food. Wasatch Community Gardens received nearly $5,000.00 from these restaurants during the 2018 Dine-Around.

If you’re overwhelmed trying to install or improve your landscape, this introductory Localscapes class will expose you to the best way to landscape in Utah. Ready to increase the usability and curb appeal of your yard while decreasing your yard work?

You’re ready to take on a landscape project but not sure where to start: this 3-hour course will teach you the Localscapes method that will simplify the process. Included is training in irrigation, planting, and maintenance that will help you design a gorgeous yard that saves you time and money.
To get the most out of this class, attend Introduction to Localscapes first, but it isn’t required.

New for 2019! Immersive Learning classes are action-oriented and take place in the Conservation Garden Park. Learn through observation as our expert staff teach landscaping techniques and activities by demonstrating how the work is best accomplished. Plan to be outdoors and come prepared to ask questions.

Biological control (or biocontrol) is the beneficial action of predators, parasites, and pathogens in managing pests and preventing their damage to plants. Natural biocontrol may provide several benefits such as an alternative to pesticides and therefore a reduction in pesticide use, saving costs, etc.

Irrigation systems can be confusing to design and install. This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to get started on your own Localscape irrigation system.
