We are a group of local gardeners who get together monthly for education, service and socializing.

We have classes on a wide variety of gardening topics from landscaping and growing the best flowers and vegetables to bee keeping and water conservation.

Succulent Terrarium Workshop @ Red Butte Garden Greenhouse

Succulents and terrariums are popular these days. Combined, they create very low maintenance terrarium with the ultimate plant to create an unusual centerpiece, a dramatic accent or a colorful breath of summer while it’s cold outside. We’ll provide the terrarium, soil, succulent plants, and other materials. We’ll also cover how to care for and maintain your terrarium. Apples, cherries, apricots, pears, plums–how do you get the best from your fruit tree each year? Learn to care for your existing trees and give new ones a healthy start as we cover planting, pruning, thinning, pollination needs, recommended varieties, and common insects and diseases. Saturday’s class will meet outside; please bring loppers and pruners to this class. Co-sponsored with Lifelong Learning. Members pay $76 + sp fee; register for section 002. Greenhouse Tours @ Red Butte Garden Greenhouse

Step out of the cold and into the warmth of Red Butte Garden’s greenhouses. Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of our state-of-the-art greenhouses where we grow 100% of the Garden’s annuals and container plants, as well as the plants found in the Orangerie and Visitor Center. Get a sneak peek at what is to come this spring. Session 1: 10 am – 11:30 am. Session 2: 1 pm – 2:30 pm. Work & Learn: Pruning @ Conservation Garden Park
Feb 9 @ 10:30 am – 12:00 pm

Come get dirt on your hands and a smile on your face as you work alongside our gardeners! You’ll receive expert instruction in best yard care practices you can use in your own yard. Bring gloves and dress for the great outdoors (we provide the tools). Group size is limited, so register early.

Practice your pruning skills in our garden. We’ll provide instruction on different pruning styles and plant types and then spend some time pruning in the garden.

This class will meet in the Education Center at Conservation Garden Park.

Registration is required for admittance to this event. If you are not registered, you will not get into this class.
